We are a Leading Waterbased Ink Supplier!

September 21, 2021

Plastisol inks, which are easy to use and last a long time, are used by the majority of professional screen printers. Plastisol inks, on the other hand, contain PVC and phthalates, which are damaging to the environment and have been connected to a variety of medical conditions. Toxic solvents are also used in the clean-up and recovery procedure for plastisol inks. Waterbased ink doesn’t contain PVC or phthalates, and you will not need solvents to clean your screens after you’re done with them — just water.

We employ inks that are free of ozone-depleting chemicals including CFCs and HCFCs, as well as aromatic compounds and dangerous solvents. They don’t feature any toxic metals or lead. No hazardous ingredients are present in our water-based inks. The water-based screen-printing inks we use are certified and have met the necessary criteria, making them suitable for use on undergarments, swimsuits, and baby clothes.

Why Waterbased Ink is Less Used?

That is an excellent question. Water-based inks are harder to screen print with as compared to the plastisol inks, and they require some unlearning of previous patterns. If not treated properly, they can air dry and jam the screen while printing. Water-based inks require some experience and ability to print with, but we feel that’s worth it. Water-based inks used to be less durable and opaque than plastisol inks, but that is no longer the case; yet, there are still a few misconceptions about them.

Water-based printing had a negative repute in the past, with inks that are runny, translucent, and difficult to print with, as well as inks that dry quickly on your screens.

New innovations such as HSA (High Solids Acrylic) water-based scratch off ink and low cure additives have made water-based inks even more affordable in the latest days, and they are now being embraced as the new simplified form of ink in businesses all over the globe.

They Offer A Superior Quality Finish

Our waterbased inks produce high-quality print results on a variety of fabrics, including bamboo, poly/cotton, Tencel, modal, polyester, bamboo, cotton, linen, organic cotton, and many others. It’s a frequent fallacy that waterbased prints don’t stay as long as plastisol prints, but that isn’t the case.

Waterbased inks are chemically complicated, and the textile printing industry has seen significant technological improvements in recent years. Our inks are created using just the best materials, so you can rest assured that your clothing was imprinted with the best inks available.

They are Suitable for Large Print Areas

Large/oversized printed areas are especially well-suited to our waterbased inks. The best part about the water-based screenprints is that they are comfortable to wear since they are light and breathable. Waterbased inks colour the fabric fibres instead of sitting on top of the fabric due to the unique characteristics. As a result, clothing imprinted with top-quality waterbased inks are more pleasant and comfy to wear, and the fabric’s flexibility to ventilate is preserved.

Waterbased inks enable air and moisture to flow through the fabric, unlike plastisol inks, which lay on top of the cloth like that of an oil/plastic sticker. What makes our waterbased inks different is the ease of air and moisture passing through the fabric. Waterbased inks are ideal for running, cycling, and other sportswear because of their breathability.

They are Better and Safer for the Consumers and Environment

The human skin catches particles from the environment. Your skin can absorb whatever you put on it. The skin of a baby is extremely absorbent and sensitive. Our range of waterbased ink is free of PVC, phthalates, and other harmful substances. They are free of lead as well as other heavy metals, making them suitable for infants. They are safe and comfortable to use on baby items, undergarments, and swimwear. Our inks have been authorized for usage on organic cotton clothes in the great majority of cases.

DAS Waterbased Ink is a one-stop destination for all your ink supplies needs— from scratch off ink to screen printing, fabric printing ink and footwear printing ink, and lots more.
