December 8, 2020

Water Inks are one of the favourite choices of screen printers and designers when it comes to smooth and soft screen printing. It is easy to work with this ink and it comes with a lot of attached benefits. There are different kinds and types of water inks.

Depending on the printing requirement and quality appropriate kind of ink is chosen for completing the task. Today we will have a look at different kinds of water inks that are widely used by people.

Apart from using the right ink, it is also important to use it in the right amount. So, let us see at different types of waterbased ink. This will also give you a brief idea about different types of inks:

Traditional Water Based Ink:

Old is gold. The same applies in the case of water based inks. New types of ink have come into the play, but many people still prefer the old and traditional water-based ink. This kind of ink has composition mostly made of water. As a result, it is almost liquid. It is thus very runny in nature.

Because of this property, it imparts extremely soft and smooth feel on the cloth it is printed. It might be difficult for some people to use this ink because of its runny nature. But, on the other hand there are people who have been using this traditional heat transfer water-based ink and create magnificent designs and prints with the help of the same.

Discharge Ink:

Traditional water-ink have some fantastic properties. One of the areas in which it does not very well is bleaching out the existing colour and making a brand new colour print. For this purpose discharge ink is used.

The discharge ink is so made that it provides high viscosity for bright colours. This makes it act as an activator for bleaching out colours from existing print, unlike heat transfer water-based ink.

Many designers prefer to use this type of ink over other existing different ink types. Many different designs and styles can be made with the help of this ink. Besides, the print quality is also phenomenal.

Acrylic Ink:

This is a synthetic ink and is thicker than both discharge ink and waterbased ink. This is also known as plastisol ink. One of the most phenomenal properties of this ink is that it sits on top of any type of fibre.

Hence, working with this ink is very easy. Also, it does not alter the cloth of the garment itself or modify it any means. This ink can also be used over an already printed cloth and make a brand-new print. This is another wonderful property of this type of ink.

Depending on the printing requirements one of the ink is used for making beautiful prints. Nowadays it is also possible to get beautiful high-quality prints online. All you need to do is connect to the supplier and explain your requirement.
